Brand kit elements are the professionally designed, on-brand pieces that make your videos look finished — transitions, intros and outros, lower thirds, branded logo animations, and more. You don't build them; Mozaik applies them to your videos automatically, so every video your team produces carries the same polished, consistent branding.

What brand kit elements are

Brand kit elements are the moving, graphical parts of a video that sit on top of your footage:

  • Transitions — the branded motion between scenes.

  • Intros and outros — the opening and closing moments, often a branded animated logo.

  • Lower thirds — the on-screen graphic that shows a name, role, or title.

  • Branded slides — logo and text slides styled in your brand.

Each one is designed to your brand so it looks the same across every video, without anyone styling a video by hand.

Where they show up

Brand kit elements appear inside a template or project through scene layouts and the elements within each scene.

A scene layout decides how a scene is composed, and the layout you choose is what brings a brand kit element into the scene. For example:

  • Video with Lower Third puts a lower third over your footage.

  • Logo Slide gives you a branded logo slide — ideal for an intro or outro.

  • Text Slide gives you a branded text slide.

Open a scene and its Elements in this scene panel lists what's in it — including Logo, Graphic with text (the lower third), and Transition. The transition is applied automatically at the start of the scene.

Good to know: Alongside these elements, your logo, brand colors, and music are applied automatically too. Choosing or overriding those for a template is covered in a separate article.

Who sets them up

Brand kit elements and the layouts that carry them are set up for you by Mozaik's design team — you don't design them in the editor. In the scene layout picker you'll see a Custom tab described as scene layouts "that designers have created specifically for you." These custom layouts (for example Intro, Text Panel, or Contact & Social Media) hold the branded elements that the standard layouts can't cover.

This is what keeps your videos on-brand at volume: because the elements are pre-designed and reused, every video comes out consistent without per-video design work.

Turning a transition on or off

You're not limited to transitions — you can show or hide most elements in a layout, including lower thirds and the corner logo. Click the element directly in the real-time preview canvas (or select it under Elements in this scene), then toggle it off and back on: use Hide for a graphic like a lower third or logo, and Deactivate transition / Activate transition for the scene transition. Only the element you pick changes — the rest of the layout stays as it is.

Good to know: Because brand kit elements are designed once and applied automatically, Mozaik can reuse them across every template and project — which is exactly what lets teams produce a high volume of video that all looks on-brand.
