Mozaik comes with a built-in library of licensed music, so you can score your videos without hunting for tracks elsewhere or worrying about rights. Filter, preview and drop a track into a video in seconds β€” and do it across a whole series of videos with music that is already cleared for use.

Open the music library

Open your project in the editor and click Music in the top toolbar. The Music selection window opens with the full library.

Good to know: You can also set a default track at the template level, so every video built from that template starts with the right music. That is covered in a separate article.

Browse and search

  • Use the Search music field to look up a track by name or artist.

  • Narrow the library with the Genre, Mood and Instrument filters. Each opens a checklist β€” tick as many options as you like (for example Genre includes Acoustic, Ambient and Alternative; Mood includes Calm, Chill and Happy).

  • Turn on Instrumental to show only tracks without vocals β€” handy when music sits under a voice-over or subtitles.

  • Every track lists its artist and duration, and Recently used songs appear at the top so you can reuse what worked before.

Preview a track

Hover over any track and press the play button on its artwork to listen before you commit β€” no need to apply it first.

Save favourites

Click the heart on a track to add it to your Favorites. Switch to the Favorites tab to jump straight to your go-to tracks, so scoring the next video is a one-click decision.

Add a track to your video

Choose a track to set it as your video's music. You can preview and swap tracks as often as you like until the video sounds right.

How the music is licensed

Open the How is this music licensed? link at the top of the window to read the full terms. In short, the licence fees are already included in your Mozaik subscription, and every track is registered with GEMA so royalties reach the artists.

In practice, the panel confirms the music is fine to use on social media platforms (such as Instagram, X and LinkedIn), in videos embedded in emails or shared by link, on your website or in iFrames, and on YouTube. Public performance at an event is the one case that may be different: GEMA fees can apply depending on the event, and that is usually handled by the venue or clarified with the organizer.

Good to know: Because every track is pre-cleared, your team can score a whole pipeline of videos without chasing licences track by track.
