Exporting your video as MP4 and choosing formats

Generate your finished video in Mozaik and download it as an MP4 — in your chosen orientation plus an automatic square version, so one project gives you ready-to-post outputs.

When your project is ready, Mozaik renders it into a finished video you can download as an MP4. And it doesn't hand you a single shape: one project gives you your chosen orientation plus an automatic square version, so you walk away with ready-to-post outputs for different channels.

Generate your video

In the editor, click Create video in the top right to render your project into a finished video. Mozaik processes your scenes, footage, music, subtitles and brand kit elements into the final result. Use Preview next to it to check the video first if you want.

Once rendering finishes, the project is marked Complete and opens in a preview window, where you can play it back and hand it off.

Good to know: Rendering runs on Mozaik's side, so you can leave the editor while a video generates — useful when you're producing a whole series of videos rather than one at a time.

Two ready-to-post formats

Every project produces your video in two formats:

  • The orientation you chose for the project — Landscape or Portrait.

  • A Square (1:1) version that Mozaik adds automatically.

Below the player in the preview window, a toggle switches between them — Landscape (or Portrait) and Square — so you can check how each shape looks before you use it.

A project always stays with one orientation plus square. It doesn't produce landscape, portrait and square all at once — you pick one orientation when you set the project up, and square comes along for free.

Good to know: You don't build the square version yourself. Everything you added while editing — subtitles, music and your brand kit — carries through to both formats, so each one is ready to publish as-is.

Download your MP4

Open a finished project from Projects to open its preview. On the right you'll see the Share this video panel with Download video.

  • Use the format toggle below the player to select the format you want — Landscape / Portrait or Square.

  • Click Download video to save that format as an MP4 file.

  • Need both formats? Switch the toggle to the other one and download again.

Sharing without downloading

The same Share this video panel also offers Copy video link (a shareable link to the video) and Embed video (a code snippet for your website), so you can share online without downloading a file. These are covered in their own articles.
