The Recordings library

Recordings is your account's cloud library of footage in Mozaik — where every clip you record or upload lives, ready to organize and reuse across projects.

Recordings is your account's cloud library of footage. Every clip you record inside Mozaik lands here automatically, and you can upload your own files too — so your whole team works from one shared, reusable store of footage instead of hunting for videos or re-recording them.

What the Recordings area is

Open it from Recordings in the left navigation. The page header reads Recording overview. It shows everything your account holds: folders (each with a badge for how many items it contains) and individual clips, shown as thumbnails with their file name. Use Search to find footage by name, and the page controls at the bottom to move through your library.

How footage gets here

There are two ways footage arrives in your library:

  • In-app recordings — anything you record inside Mozaik is saved to Recordings automatically.

  • Upload — use the Upload button to bring in video files you already have.

Good to know: Recording and importing footage each have their own guide — this article is about the library where that footage lives.

Organizing with folders

Keep a growing library tidy with folders:

  • Select New folder to create one, then drag or Move clips into it.

  • The folder tree on the left mirrors your structure, and each folder shows its item count.

  • To move a clip, open its menu and choose Move.

Working with a clip

Click any clip to open its preview panel on the right, where you can:

  • Play it back in the built-in player.

  • See its details — length, when it was added, and who added it.

  • Add Notes for context or handover.

  • Use the Quick edit options for fast adjustments (such as audio and aspect ratio).

  • Select Edit to open the clip for editing.

Each clip's menu also offers: Rename, Edit, Open recording history, Move, Download, and Remove.

Good to know: Every recording keeps its version history. Select a clip and choose Open recording history — the clock icon at the top right of the preview, or the "…" menu on the item — to see earlier versions (for example, the Original before an audio enhancement or trim) and switch back to one.

Reusing footage across projects

Because everything sits in one place, the same clips are ready to reuse whenever you build a new video. Inside a project, open a scene's Footage element and choose Browse library to drop a stored clip straight into that scene — no re-recording, no re-uploading. That makes Recordings the reusable asset store behind repeatable video series and automated pipelines, where teams produce a lot of video from a shared pool of footage.
