Adding a voice-over: record, AI voice, or clone your voice

Add narration to any Mozaik video — record or upload a voice-over, generate one from a script with AI voices, or clone your own voice for reuse.

Add narration to a video without leaving Mozaik. Record a voice-over, upload an existing file, generate one from a script with an AI voice, or clone your own voice once and reuse it across a whole series of videos.

Open the Voice-Over window

Open your project in the editor and click Voice-Over in the top toolbar. The window opens with three tabs — Record, AI Voice and Clone Voice. Whatever you add lands on the Voice-Over track at the current playhead position, so move the cursor to where you want the narration to start first.

Record or upload a voice-over

On the Record tab, pick your input device and click the microphone to record straight into the project. Already have narration? Drag an audio file into the upload area, or click to browse. Supported formats: mp3, wav, flac and webm.

Generate a voice-over from a script (AI Voice)

On the AI Voice tab, choose a voice from the Voice dropdown — each voice has its own language and style — and use Preview voice to hear it. Type or paste your narration into the Script field, then click Generate voice-over. The generated audio drops onto the timeline like any other voice-over, so you can reposition it against your scenes.

Good to know: Because the script is just text, you can spin up narration for a batch of videos quickly — draft the scripts, pick one consistent voice, and generate them one after another.

Clone your own voice (Clone Voice)

On the Clone Voice tab, provide a voice sample of at least 30 seconds — upload a file or record one on the spot — give the voice a name, and tick the confirmation that you have the rights and consent to clone it. Once created, your cloned voice appears alongside the AI voices, so future voice-overs can use your own voice from a script.

Good to know: Voice cloning is limited by your plan. If you reach the limit, the tab tells you and links to more details — remove an existing clone or check your plan to add another.
